Bust of drugs and prostitution | Eyewitness News

TOWNSHIP OF WILKES-BARRE, COUNTY OF ALZERNE (WBRE / WYOU-TV) – Several have been arrested and a house has been condemned after police shut down what they say is a brothel and drug dealer in Wilkes-Barre Township.

Police said a “lengthy” investigation revealed that occupants of the house in the 600 block of Pine Street and several others were selling drugs and sex from the house.

The police obtained a warrant and searched the house. They say they have found drugs such as Krokodil, crack, fentanyl, heroin and several unidentified pills as well as accessories, scales and condoms. Police said prostitution prices and services were posted on a wall inside the residence.

The statement said several people fled the home when police arrived but were arrested outside by police and with the help of a Swoyersville officer on leave.

Two of the suspects had active arrest warrants and were taken straight to jail. Five others were taken to police headquarters for questioning and will be charged later, according to police.

The township of Wilkes-Barre zoning was called and determined that the house was “unfit for human habitation”. The house has been boarded up and no one is allowed to be on the property.
