Coleen Rooney “signs £ 1million deal for Wagatha Christie film on Rebekah Vardy Row”

COLEEN Rooney will sign a £ 1million contract to direct an explosive film about his “Wagatha Christie” argument with Rebekah Vardy, it has been reported.

The Wags are locked in a court battle after Coleen, 35, claimed Rebekah leaked stories from her private Instagram account to the press.

Rebekah, 39, vehemently denies the allegations – and sues her former friend for libel.

However, it is now reported that Coleen wants to ‘let the public make up their own mind’ – and will present her evidence in a new documentary, reports the Mirror.

Filming could begin earlier this year – months before the High Court libel suit begins this summer.

Sources close to Coleen say she will be “at the forefront” of the documentary, which will be directed by Lorton Entertainment and aired on Netflix or Amazon.

The company is behind her husband Wayne’s documentary Rooney.

They also directed the acclaimed Oasis Supersonic and After the Screaming Stops, which examined the careers of Bros. stars Matt and Luke Goss.

Coleen and Rebekah’s battle began in October 2019, when Coleen posted his infamous claim of a leaker on social media.

Her friend told the publication: “Coleen has been silent since that famous post online. But that could all change in what could be the TV event of the year.

EXPLOSIVE DOC

“Viewers would see all of the forensic evidence Coleen has gathered through her detectives online and see why she is convinced Rebekah leaked the stories about her and others.

“She’s determined to bring everything into the public domain and let people make up their own minds. The talks are very advanced.

Coleen generally stays out of the spotlight with her four children along with Wayne, Kai, Klay, Kit, and Cass.

But the friend said: “Coleen is thinking long and hard about her next steps and maybe now is the time to put her head above the parapet.

“She feels she has a very strong case and wants to share it with the world.”

The loser of the libel case could end up paying millions.

Coleen’s lawyers say his legal bill will be £ 537,000, while Rebekah’s is estimated at £ 838,000.

And the news of the documentary will “no doubt” be viewed as a “hostile act” by the Rebekah camp, the friend said.

“There is no doubt that Coleen is raising the stakes and more, and it will be interesting to see how Rebekah responds,” they said.

‘SHE IS CONVINCED THAT IT’S REBEKAH’

“But Coleen is on a mission and is passionate about what she believes in.”

The two women were urged to reach a resolution out of court to avoid a full libel lawsuit.

However, the two are currently refusing to back down, with a showdown scheduled for the UK next summer.

Coleen was interviewed for Wayne’s new documentary, which will air on Amazon Prime.

In a trailer, she revealed that she had “forgiven” Wayne for his booze and sexual shame antics, but admits, “It was not acceptable.”

The couple’s 13-year-old marriage was rocked by a string of drunkenness scandals that led them to the doghouse.

Most recently, the ex-Manchester United legend was pictured at a hotel with Snapchat models after a night out in July.

Coleen said, “I knew from the bands that Wayne was hanging out. With alcohol … [it was] not good.

“I forgive him but it was not acceptable.”

Wayne, 35, and Coleen met when she was just 12 in the Liverpool suburb of Croxteth.

They started a relationship at the age of 16 after leaving school as Wayne’s superb football career began to take off.
