Mathura, November 30

A Dalit underage girl here has reportedly been kidnapped and repeatedly raped in Delhi for resisting an offer of prostitution, police said.

The victim, who was later rescued by her mother, is a resident of a settlement under the Kosikalan district police station.

“She was raped several times by a young person in Delhi,” said an FIR filed by the young girl’s mother.

SP (rural) Srish Chandra said that although two teams have been formed to catch offenders, the allegation of delay in registering an FIR and other charges is being investigated.

According to FIR, the minor was beaten and forced into prostitution in Delhi. The victim was also repeatedly raped by a youth whenever she resisted her captors’ offer of prostitution, the FIR added.

The victim somehow managed to communicate her whereabouts to her mother, who managed to free her from the clutches of her captors, the FIR further claimed.

It is also alleged that the girl was forced to sit in a police station for five days.
