Ogun State Police Command has arrested a man, Amoda Bola, 49, for allegedly impregnating his 14-year-old biological daughter and forcing her into prostitution.
The suspect and five other people who allegedly paid him money to sleep with the victim were arrested on May 17.
According to Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Abimbola Oyeyemi (PPRO), “The suspect, a resident of Idi Oro Street, Ode Remo, was arrested following a complaint received of the victim, who reported to Ode Remo Division Headquarters that her father, who she has been living with for a few years now, had carnal relations with her, she added that her father had also invited men to home to have sex with her, after which the men would pay her money.
“On the report, Division DPO Ode Remo, CSP Olayemi Fasogbon, detailed detectives at the scene where the suspect was quickly arrested.
“During questioning, the suspect, who initially denied the allegations, later confessed when confronted by the victim. His confession led to the arrest of five other people, who slept with the victim at different times at the invitation of his father.
The suspects are: Ahmed Ogunkoya 30 years old, Muyiwa Adeoye 48 years old, David Sunday Solaja 69 years old, Emmanuel Olusanya 50 years old and Joshua Olaniran 50 years old. The suspects confessed to having carnal relations with the 14-year-old girl and paid the father money.
“The victim, whose mother had separated from the father years ago and was living with the father, was practically turned into a prostitute by her father.
“She was taken to the Isara Remo public hospital, where it was confirmed that she was pregnant.
The victim insisted that it was her father who was responsible for the pregnancy being the only person who slept with her during the period she became pregnant.”
Meanwhile, Police Commissioner, CP Lanre Bankole, ordered the immediate transfer of the suspects to the State Department of Criminal Investigations and Intelligence (SCIID) Anti-Human Trafficking and Child Labor Unit. ), for discreet investigation and possible prosecution.
