Actress Gina Carano, the former MMA fighter who starred in The Mandalorian before being fired from the show for her ‘abhorrent and unacceptable’ social media posts, appears in a trailer for Breitbart’s controversial Biden family biopic which debuted on Donald Trump’s Truth Social platform over the weekend.
The film, titled my hunter sonaims to dramatize the many controversies surrounding President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden.
Carano plays a Secret Service agent who narrates the trailer and is later seen being kissed on the neck by John James, who plays Joe Biden in the film. Laurence Fox, an outspoken critic of woke culture, stars as Hunter in scenes involving sex, drugs, prostitutes, spies, business deals, and Ukrainian oligarchs.
This isn’t the first time Carano has taken a polarizing political stance. In 2020, she was fired from Disney+ series The Mandalorian for posting an Instagram story comparing the current political landscape to Nazi Germany.
Speaking to Fox News about the film, Carano said: “The script was instantly intriguing and painfully hilarious to me, especially after being recently exposed to the political realm in 2020. Robert Davi is someone who reached out as soon as I was “cancelled” in February 2021. I signed on to support him and one of my favorite humans, Laurence Fox. They’ve both always been actors that I love to watch and now they’ve both become my friends and mentors.
Typically, Twitter users had a lot to say about Carano’s appearance in the trailer.
“If I ever feel bad about myself I just think about how Gina Carano transitioned from The Mandalorian to movies exclusively on Truth Social,” one user wrote.
Another tweet read, “In 1.5 years, Gina Carano has gone from being on the verge of getting her own Mandalorian spin-off to starring in a Breitbart-directed Hunter Biden movie.”
Some users, however, applauded Carano for his efforts. One user said, “I can’t wait to watch My Son Hunter. The truth really matters. You keep doing you!
Another user wrote: “You are fantastic in Terror on the Prairie! I’m really looking forward to My Son Hunter. Keep up the good work! »
my hunter son was funded through private crowdfunding with a budget of $2.75 million and will premiere via its own website on September 7. It was directed by actor Robert Davi, best known for his role in die hard as FBI agent Johnson and for playing James Bond villain Franz Sanchez in License to kill.
