Republicans panic media coverage of Hunter Biden bagel race

The House Judiciary’s GOP Twitter account on Sunday mocked reporters who reported an apparent bagel run for Hunter Biden while the presidential motorcade waited for their order to be completed.

Matt Viser, the White House reporter for the Washington Post, tweeted that the procession had returned from church at the time and had been “hijacked” so that Hunter Biden “could make a food run at Call Your Mother , arguably the best bagel store in DC. “

Viser, quoting the on-site pool reporter, tweeted that Hunter Biden had stood by the store window for “several minutes for the take out order while his father and daughters waited in the car.”

The House Judicial GOP grabbed the tweet and wrote, “This is the biggest coverage Hunter Biden has ever received from the mainstream media. What a joke.”

Hunter Biden’s appearance with his father comes as he is under a federal Justice Department investigation into his finances. In December, Hunter Biden admitted to the investigation but said he was going about his own business “legally.”

Hunter Biden’s foreign trade dealings and his father’s possible involvement had been a problem during the 2020 presidential campaign, after emails from his laptop revealed business-related conversations with a company owned by Chinese people.

Republicans claim that many media and Big Tech covered Joe Biden during the 2020 campaign and did not answer questions about his son’s business relationship.

A spokesperson for Sen. Lindsey Graham, the top Republican on the Senate Judiciary Committee, told Fox News that the Hunter Biden investigation is “very likely” to be addressed at the hearing of Judge Merrick Garland for the Attorney General.

President Biden was seen leaving Holy Trinity Catholic Church in the Georgetown neighborhood of Washington, DC, after his first mass attendance since taking office.
