The ridiculous media rush to clear Joe Biden in the Hunter scandal

The mainstream media and even the White House itself are ramping up claims that President Joe Biden has nothing to do with the corruption his son Hunter and brother Jim may have been involved in. The more they protest, the more the public should suspect another cover-up.

“The president is confident that his family did the right thing,” Biden chief of staff Ron Klain assured Americans on Sunday. But “these are actions of Hunter and his brother. These are private matters. They don’t involve the president. And they are certainly something that no one in the White House is involved in. (How can the prez be confident when he always insisted he knew nothing about Hunter’s business, but Is do you know that his son made a host of terrible decisions under the influence of drugs and alcohol?)

CNN White House correspondent John Harwood said there is “no evidence. . . President Biden did something wrong.

A news from the Washington Post story that finally recognized possible corruption first reported by this Post 17 Months Earlier points out that the WaPo found no evidence “Joe Biden personally benefited from or knew details of the transactions” with Chinese energy company CEFC. His the editorial board insists Revelations of Hunter’s ‘sordid dealings’ do not ‘vindicate or curse any party except [Hunter] Biden himself.

If they found no proof, they did not look very hard. As Miranda Devine and others have shown, the now universally “authenticated” laptop contains many evidence to suspect that the president knew Something on Hunter’s actions and that he himself could have benefited from them, directly or indirectly:

  • Evidence that Hunter and Joe’s finances were intertwined.
  • An infamous email on Hunter’s laptop says 10% of the shares of a joint venture with the government-linked CEFC would be reserved for ‘the Big Guy’ – a reference to Joe Biden, the former business partner says by Hunter, Tony Bobulinski.
  • Bobulinski says Hunter “often” indicated he asked his father for “his signature or advice” on “various deals.”
  • When Hunter joined the then group on a trip to China in 2013, but then decided to meet Chinese businessmen, where did Joe think his son had gone? What did the two talk about during the long plane ride there and back?

“There are credible reports of bank transfers in the millions” through the “laptop from hell” emails, as well as “guys like Tony Bobulinski credibly describing a kickback scheme with the current President of the United States as the beneficiary,” notes Jim Trusty, former head of the Department of Justice’s Organized Crime Section.

The Washington Post and New York Times authenticated the Hunter Biden laptop story more than a year after The Post broke it.

Indeed, the obvious reason these outlets are finally on the story is because Hunter could be indicted. The Washington Post, whose motto is “Democracy Dies in Darkness,” needs an excuse for why it left its readers in the dark. . . dark before the 2020 elections, and for more than a year after.

“Is The Washington Post Supposed To Report On A Hard Drive It Didn’t Have At The Time?” laments the newspaper’s deputy editorial page editor, Ruth Marcus. The WaPo also says it sought to be cautious after Russia spread misinformation in 2016.

Please. This newspaper, and other “news” media, have not even to try to corroborate our stories — they sought to discredit them, quoting former pro-Biden intelligence officials to cast doubt on them. And none of these outlets showed the slightest caution about the collusion with Russia story, which was in fact a complete hoax (disinformation commissioned by the Clinton campaign).

Now, forced to admit our scoops were solid, they still insist that Joe Biden’s hands are clean. The White House, too, is now rushing to exonerate the president, as Klain tried to do on Sunday. Still, why comment at all if Joe wasn’t involved?

The fact is, Joe Biden’s protectors attacked our totally legitimate stories to spare him harm – and they’re now pointing out his “innocence” for the same reason.

Fair warning: this newspaper will continue its dogged reporting and will not hesitate to publish what it finds. If other news outlets really don’t want to keep their readers in the dark, they’d better do the same.
