The Trump presidency that could have been

Imagine how much more the president donald trump and his team could have accomplished if they hadn’t had to spend so much time and energy preparing for depositions and defending themselves against lies and false accusations.

What would Donald Trump’s presidency have looked like without the deliberate and practically treacherous lies about a Trump-Russia connection?

How would President Trump and his team have fared if they hadn’t been under constant attack from Democrats, the FBI, the Special Counsel, and the left-leaning media? We now know that all of the attacks were based on a huge lie that implied substantial Russian influence where none existed.

How would middle Americans have responded to President Trump and his new administration had he not been subjected to a constant bombardment of hostile, false, vicious, dishonest and, in some cases, libelous attacks?

How much extra energy would President Trump and his team have had to focus on problem-solving if they hadn’t had to spend hours every day fighting and defending against methodically constant attacks based on lies?

It’s amazing how much President Trump has accomplished despite the daily war against his survival, his character and his team. Just think of Trump-level gasoline and diesel prices, Trump-level energy independence, Trump-level border control and cartel and drug defense, the economic growth at Trump’s level without inflation, to the surgical application of power at Trump’s level to eliminate Qassem Soleimani and Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi – while crushing the Islamic State in the Syrian-Iraqi region and managing the war in Afghanistan so that no Americans are killed in action after February 2020 for the remainder of his term.

Imagine all he and his team could have accomplished if they hadn’t had to spend so much time and energy preparing for depositions and defending themselves against lies and false accusations.

The trial of Michael Sussman makes it clear that there was an alternative path to a much more acceptable and positive Trump presidency. It’s an alternative worth pursuing just to understand how much Hillary Clinton’s vicious dishonesty – and the establishment’s enthusiastic embrace of that dishonesty – has cost America.

I co-wrote three alternate Civil War histories and three alternate WWII histories with Bill Forstchen. Sometimes it helps us better understand what really happened if we explore what could have happened.

The Sussman trial makes it clear that the whole Russian hoax story was a lie fabricated by the Clinton campaign – and reinforced by the Democrats in the FBI, the dishonesty of leading Congressional Democrats, and the New York Times and Washington Post’s eagerness to destroying President Trump (even if that meant printing and then exaggerating lies linking Trump to Russia).

The establishment’s Pulitzer Prize committee even gave awards to both newspapers for what we now know to be utterly dishonest anti-Trump reporting. After this trial, it will be a test of the integrity of the Pulitzer to see if these awards are withdrawn.

Like Jonathan Turley written in The Hill May 21:

“For Democrats and many in the media, Hillary Clinton has long held a Voldemort-like status as “the one who must not be named” in the scandals. Yet there was his former campaign manager, Robby Mook, telling a jury that Clinton personally approved a plan to spread the allegation of secret communications between the Trump Organization and the Russian bank. It was one of the most successful disinformation campaigns in American politics, and Mook accused Clinton of giving the green light to gaslighting the electorate.

Turley continues:

“On July 28, 2016, then CIA Director John Brennan informed president obama on Hillary Clinton’s alleged plan to link Donald Trump to Russia as ‘a way to distract the public from their use of a private mail server.‘ Obama reportedly learned how Clinton allegedly approved “a proposal by one of his foreign policy advisers to defame Donald Trump by stoking a scandal alleging interference by Russian security services.”

Finally, the vicious dishonesty of the whole project is described by Turley as follows:

For her part, Clinton not only endorsed the use of the Alpha Bank allegation, but helped present it as established fact, tweeting, “Computer scientists have apparently uncovered a secret server linking the Trump organization to a bank based in Russia”.

“This claim was later amplified by one of his campaign advisers, Jake Sullivan, who is now president [Joe] Biden national security adviser. Sullivan said at the time: “This may be the most direct link yet between Donald Trump and Moscow. Computer scientists have discovered a secret server linking the Trump Organization to a bank based in Russia. Sullivan added that he could “only assume that federal authorities will now explore this direct link between Trump and Russia as part of their existing investigation into Russian interference in our elections.”

This means that President Biden’s current national security adviser deliberately lied about President Trump and Russia. Anyone dealing with Sullivan should remember his dishonesty and treacherous assertion of Russian involvement – which he knew was totally false and fabricated by his own campaign.

This incident is further evidence of the depth of Democratic dishonesty over the past few years about President Trump, Hunter Biden, the economy, the failure to control the border – the list goes on.

Somewhere there must be Democrats willing to hold America to account and defend America against this kind of vicious dishonesty and manipulation.
